Lead Databricks Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Databricks Engineer to support a major enterprise transformation programme in Germany. This role will suit someone who enjoys ownership, mentoring others, and driving the technical delivery of modern data solutions in a Databricks on AWS environment.

What you will do

• Lead Databricks engineering activities across the programme
• Build robust and scalable pipelines for analytics and operational use cases
• Drive technical decisions and engineering quality
• Work with architects, product owners, and senior stakeholders
• Support best practices in deployment, testing, and optimisation

What we are looking for

• Strong Databricks engineering background
• Excellent Spark, Python, and SQL skills
• Experience leading delivery teams
• Good understanding of AWS data services, S3-based architectures, and cloud-native engineering patterns
• Fluent German or English in an international environment
